Learn how to challenge your body and brain with exciting new movement patterns and muscular activations. Explore the essence of making new connections and having new sensory experiences in yoga poses.

In this dynamic and interactive setting, you will expand your definition and understanding of what is possible in a yoga asana practice, acquire new teaching and sequencing skills and gain powerful insights into how integrating more strength and stability experiences into yoga asana can prevent injury and support the longevity of practice.

In this training, you will:
  • Learn how to challenge your body and your brain with novel and challenging new movement patterns
  • Explore micro-movements in yoga asana to activate specific muscle groups
  • Play with using yoga blankets to create interesting and challenging sliding surface movement experiences in yoga asana practices
  • Understand why and how to incorporate exercise band resistance work into yoga asana practices
  • Understand why and how to incorporate balance ball work into yoga asana practices
Meet Your Teachers
Kristen is the owner of the YogaLife Institute and the Co-Director of all YogaLife's educational programs. She has been studying and teaching for fifteen years, accumulating 3000+ hours of professional training in a variety of styles. Her passion is for training yoga teachers and create safe and effective student-led learning environments. She is the author of Yoga Therapy for Active Living (Human Kinetics, 2017).
Erika found her home at YogaLife and has been teaching here since 2004. She holds advanced certifications in Yoga & Yoga Therapy. She is also a skin care specialist and manual lymphatic drainage massage practitioner. Erika is a firm believer in the tenets of yogic tradition, she relishes the opportunity to share her yoga vision and experience with her students.

Schedule: Saturday 9-5pm, Sun 9-5pm

Fees: $350 Pre-Registered before Sept 19th, $375 after Sept 19th
