Yogic rest is the conscious practice of deep relaxation – an ancient Eastern technique that uses carefully guided imagery to address physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels of tension, leading to awareness through stillness and insight. Shifting gently between lecture and discussion, this seminar will offer students the opportunity to create an environment that is ripe for purification along with decreased emotional reactivity for a sense of calmness, quietness and clarity in the mind and deep states of rest for the body. The perspective of how to relax personally will be offered alongside for strategies to support guiding others through the same process as a teacher.
